D&#8217;Annunzio &#8220;La pioggia nel pineto&#8221;), non si pu\u00f2 non riconoscere pienamente realizzata nella poesia dannunziana l&#8217;equazione poesia-musica: quasi una partitura musicale della poesia in cui si fondono impressioni naturalistiche, immaginazione, sensazioni.&#8221;&#8230;<em>E il pino\/ha un suono, e il mirto\/altro suono, e il ginepro\/altro ancora, stromenti\/diversi\/sotto innumerevoli dita<\/em>&#8230;&#8221; E pi\u00f9 avanti:&#8221;&#8230;<em>Solo una nota\/ ancor trema, si spegne,\/risorge, trema, si spegne<\/em>.&#8221; E ancora: &#8220;&#8230;<em>Non s&#8217;ode voce del mare.\/Or s&#8217;ode su tutta la fronda\/crosciare\/ l&#8217;argentea pioggia\/che monda,\/il croscio che varia\/secondo la fronda\/pi\u00f9 folta, men folta<\/em>&#8230;&#8221; Le immagini uditive, visive sfumano e si perdono in quelle sonore. Il poeta ascolta la voce della pioggia e la riproduce con variet\u00e0 di suoni; le parole e il ritmo dei versi si dissolvono in note di canto.
